A new creative space located in the heart of Suffolk.
goals
Fox Yard Studio aims to be a centre for creativity and innovation. Now more than ever there is a huge need for community involvement and self expression. With mental health issues at the forefront, a space needs to be created to bring people together and help each other realise our highest potential as individuals and as a community. Having a place where people can come to share what they know, socialise and learn new skills and experience art made by local makers.
01.
To create a space that allows people to be creative and learn new skills by providing workshops and educational talks.
02.
To showcase local artists and makers, to show how creative our community is and to encourage others to get creative.
03.
To provide social events that bring people together, create a supportive environment and help combat loneliness.
04.
To celebrate skill sharing, to start conversations that connect people and inspire others to do the same.
“Beauty surrounds us everywhere, my hope is to help enhance our vision.”

Meet the Founder
Samanta Bell is a textile artist and illustrator based in Suffolk, UK. Her work (Miss Chaitoo Art) is inspired by the wildlife around her in the countryside. As much as she adores being surrounded by nature, there was a part of her that always wanted to bring people together and to help inspire creativity.
The idea for Fox Yard Studio came to Sam in 2019. Yearning for a space where people can come to explore their own creative skills as well as share it with others, she finally decided to create the space herself. Being an artist with many interests, skills and passions, the idea of a studio space that accommodated all of these things would be perfect. After months of research & meeting local artists/ makers, it was apparent that it wasn’t just her that needed this space, there was a huge calling for a sense of community, especially to help encourage those who want to be creative but are not sure where to start.
