Title: "ÉCHOS"

Echoes exist and linger, as we are the endless echoes of our past and future… Artists are welcome to explore the theme of “ÉCHOS” however they like. We look forward to seeing your personal perspective related to this topic subjective to resonance and repetition.

 
The open call is for artists working in all mediums of 2D and 3D artwork, from paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photography, including live performance, digital and video. 


Dates:

Application submission deadline: Midnight 30th of October 2024

Timelines:

Announcement: By 1st November 2024, notification by email

Private View: Friday 8th November, 6 pm to 8 pm

Exhibition dates: 8 - 19 November 2024

Please make sure that you have read through the submission's guidelines and rules properly before submitting your work.

Wall work must not exceed 50cm x 70cm (to include any mount/frame). 

3D work should have a maximum footprint of 60cm x 60cm x 100cm.

Images

  • You can submit up to 10 images, max 4MB each, for consideration.

  • You can also send us links to your videos and performances.


Acceptance into the exhibition:

  • Successful applicants will be notified by email.

  • Artists are responsible for delivering or shipping their works to us by using reliable couriers to ensure timely delivery. 

  • Digital and videos will be displayed digitally on a 46" monitor in our art gallery at Fox Yard Studio. Files of selected works can be sent to us by email or by WeTransfer.


Costs:

  • £30 per selected work.

  • As well as having a physical presence, artworks will be featured online.


Who:

Artists at all levels. All media types are welcome.

Applicants are not required to be local.  All works are to be presentable, framed (if applicable) and delivered under the responsibility of each selected artist by the given deadlines. 

More information:

  • The theme is open to interpretation.

  • We offer you a platform to showcase, promote and sell your artworks via our art gallery and our Instagram via Art Magnitude.

  • Submitting your work is free of charge,

  • There is a 25% commission on Sales for physical works.

  • If artists are not able to collect unsold works after the show has ended, we can return your works to you by courier or post.

Fox Yard Studio - Art Gallery provides a unique and inspiring space for artists to showcase their work.

Located in a historic building dating back to the 16th century, our gallery is committed to fostering a vibrant arts community. We form part of the Design Quarter of Stowmarket, which includes the Modece Architects, the arts bar Pallet and the artist studios The Artspace. These creative spaces are all integral components of the Old Fox Yard and the social life of Stowmarket.

How to prepare your files for submission:

File names:

Submitted Images must named appropriately.

Example:

The image titled ‘The Perfect Moment by the artist Jack Right’ would have this file name: ‘Right_ThePerfectMoment.jpg’;

The second untitled image by the artist Jack Right: ‘Right_Untitled_2.jpg’.

In the body of your submission e-mail please include:

  1. Your full name (and artist name if required);

  2. Your city and country;

  3. Your website address (if you have one);

  4. Social media account handles (e.g. for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or other):

  5. Titles of all included images with the corresponding file names, with medium, year, selling price. Please ensure you NAME YOUR IMAGES THE SAME AS YOU WRITE THEM IN THE EMAIL. Example below:

  6. The actual or desired size of work when framed / ready to hang (in cm – not inches please)

  7. Please upload your curriculum vitae and any other supporting information that you feel would enhance this application.
