Jubilant! - VOTE FOR US!

The Stowmarket Community Choices vote for a community project to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in 2022 is now live! Vote for the wonderful project we’ve put together with the Stowmarket Culture Group, it’s called Jubilant!

Jubilant! will put a resident artist in every school in Stowmarket for a term. A festival will showcase the work they create together. After 18 months of disruption to education caused by Covid, this is a chance for young people to collaborate, imagine and celebrate with the whole town. The artists will work with young people to create music, theatre, art, creative writing, film, podcasts, sculpture, design and food, which will be showcased in a festival in the summer of 2022.

Jubilant! will be organised by the Stowmarket Culture Group, which includes the Museum of East Anglian Life, the John Peel Centre, the Regal, the Library, Fox Yard Studio, Red Gables and The Mix. We will showcase the works created at our venues during a festival week open to all.

The festival will take the theme of the Platinum Jubilee, creating a portrait of the town in the year 2022 and looking forward to the future.
