As a part of our Winter Art Trail, we’d like to introduce you to the artists that produced the wonderful artwork for the trail. In the Artist Spotlight today, we have Rae Green, you may have spotted her beautiful painting of a Winter Stag in Bonitas Wholefoods on Stowmarket high street!

Introducing Rae Green

Rae has been creating art ever since she could remember. Originally from London, Rae moved to Suffolk when she was 10. While at school, she went from creating picture books to digital art.

She has always said that traditional art should not be forgotten and has rediscovered her love for watercolours as well as acrylic painting as well.

Her inspirations come from wildlife, fantasy and folklore, especially from Japan, Scandinavia and of course the British Isles. At 30, she was diagnosed with Autism and she hopes to bring a better understanding to the hidden disability.

To see Rae’s contribution to Stowmarket’s Winter Art Trail, you’ll find it in Bonitas Wholefoods’ window in Stowmarket! The Winter Art Trail runs until January 22nd 2022 and trail maps are available from Fox Yard Studio. After that, all the artwork on the trail will be displayed at the new arts bar next door, Pallet.
